I have a 2 yr old Glock 19, probably 3rd gen (will post part of serial number if necessary).

Anyway, the mags don't really lock in tight with a sharp click....and they stick out just a bit. Sometimes I'll push them in, think they're seated, then they'll start to fall out--then I push them in harder and after some pressure, I'll feel/hear a definite but slight click.

I seem to recall reading about this mushy mag-catch business, but can't find it via a search. I was wondering if it's the mag-catch or the mags (all factory glock mags)...and what I can do about it.

    Thanks.

Everything is working as intended. The magazines are most likely full when you insert them into the frame. The top round of ammunition is putting pressure on the slide stripper. When you push on the bottom of the mag you are feeling the pressure of the rounds compressing further into the mag. The click you hear and feel is the sound of the MR fully seating into the mag recess.
Lock the slide to the rear and insert the mag. You will notice it takes a lot less pressure to seat it!
