Early Christmas present - I chose a Gen 3 G19 but now need to do the whole holster thing all over since I had been carrying a 38 Revolver.

Best place for me to carry is about 10 o clock, canted and somewhat above the waist so today I'm using a generic Pistol Wear band and it is very comfortable but not definitive enough.

My ideal would be a clip on IWB that I don't have to use a belt with and position it about 10 o clock and cross draw with my right hand.

I've ordered a Remora so I can test drive the position and angle but think I will eventually need an IWB leather holster that I can clip onto the waist band of my snug fitting jeans.

Leaning toward something like the Kramer Sheepskin Clip.

Feedback, ideas? I know I'll get blasted about not using a belt, but I just don't wear one often enough.

    Thanks !
(hubby calls me the Glock Queen since I dominate with his Gen1 G17, but then, who wouldn't, such a sweet gun. How nice to have one all of my own now.)

PS I should say that I have used a crossbreed IWB holster for my revolver and it is great except not really designed for the cant I want.

  3. it all depends on your type of dress.....also most custom holster makers will make your holster to w.e custom degree cant you choose so make sure you know the exact degree cant is most comfortable for you

Take a look at the comptac mtac, not sure how it would work out in the cant department though as I have only used it in the 4-5:00 slight cant position.

"Snug-fitting jeans" and IWB carry are not going to work together too well.

A Remora is about your best option in that case, since it has infinitely-variable cant and positioning ability.

This video gives an overview of several different options from a female perspective.

This is my wife's pick. If you like it otherwise you may want to call them and see if you can get it made in the cant you want.

ETA: My local range has started selling these:

    interesting concept.

    Blue Wolf,

My wife has been carrying since the mid 80s. For the last 5-6 years her EDC gun has been a Glock 26 in a FIST ultra thin kydex IWB holster.

FIST has several attachment options on their IWB holsters (she has the K6-G option with split-leather loops) check their site and see if any appeal to you.

    Good luck with your choice
