While I picked up a LNIB G-39, 2 mags, box and all, maybe 25 rnds through her as it looks new, for the New Year! I got a deal I think, I paid $400.00! I figure I would try the gap and use the G-39 for Conceal Carry. Just thought I would share and it seems to be like the G-27 just with a bigger slide. I got some lawman FMJ, I also got some 165 gr JHP Mag-Tech. I was also wondering what kind of ammo is most reliable?? Any input from the Glock gappers is appreciated!!!!

My G37, and G39 have been flawless regardless of what ammo I have put thru them!
I mostly use Lawman, and American Eagle plinking ammo, and Speer GDHP for my hollow points, but I have shot almost everything under the sun and have had no issues.

Ditto. None of my GAP pistols have failed to cycle or fire. Great platform.

I suggest Speer 200-gr-JHP's pr Federal 230-gr JHP's for Personal Defense. It is best to use the best to protect your life. Mag-Tech does not have the best reputation although their name sounds cool.

    jv56 -

The 200gr Speer JHPs already noted are a good bet. A while back I chroned and posted that round delivered about 925fps from my G39 - not some special test barreled gun. Real performance from a gun that is a pleasure to shoot.

    dave - 39,38, looking for 37

I like Speer Gold Dots for carry ammo. That reminds me... I need to buy some more.

I've had exactly one problem with ammo with my G39. That was a WWB case that was too long, and wouldn't seat properly in the chamber.

I love my G39 for EDC.

I've also had great success with Gold Dots. And I really want a 39 too, if all these dang deals would stop popping up - I'm starting to confuse myself about which guns I'm selling and which I'm buying. :faint:

I just checked on buds, and I don't know if its because I just purchased a G37 but the price I was emailed was $377 for a G39... I really do like the size of that G39.... hmmm

My 39 has gobbled up everything I use. I primarily reload now, so it sees Barry FMJ almost exclusivley. For SD ammunition, I use Federal HSTs. They are my favorite.

Well I went and shot a 100 rounds of Lawman 230 gr FMJ (very dirty ammo) through my Glock 39 without a hitch. GAP is sweet. This should work out to be a good carry gun.
