Hey, despite what you may think, not all of us are urban misfits. I grew up in a small town in the mountains here, learned to drive in the snow, picked fruit in the orchards in the fall, bucked hay for my neighbors, yeah, more like someone from Colorado than Kommiefornia.
****ing morons here deserve what the get voting for Brown & Boxer. Time to move! Come on guys, Colorado is becoming Kommiefornia light. Maybe Montana instead?:steamed:

What are you talking about Jack? My brother insist that neanderthals like me aren't even allowed to visit Colorado. :wow: And I live on the least infected part of the left coast.

It is disturbing that folks on Calguns voted for these clowns.... "When you keep doing what you're doing, you'll keep getting what you're getting"...

Best wishes to you guys in CA, I could NEVER live there..

You're right, of course... somewhere hiding in California are the folks that put Reagan in the Governor's seat.

Colorado is getting pretty stupid. I live in one of the most conservative cities in the nation, so sometimes I forget what all the idiots up north are doing. I'll be in Montana later this month... I'll bring you back a scouting report.

Ya, not a fun night. I finally told my wife to turn off the local news and change it to the national news to make me feel a little better.

If I lived in some boring town with nothing to do, I'd be out of CA in a heartbeat.

But I really do love loving in San Diego. It's a beautiful city with lots to do. I have a lot of family here, so I'm probably here to stay. I guess I'll just go down with the ship.:crying:

And that is the problem. "WE" aren't putting these idiots in place, "THEY" are. I said this 10yrs ago; the state will be left w/ nothing but the rich & the illeglas that mow their lawns, wash their Porches & clean their homes. It's almost that way now.
All the business have moved out, hell, they don't even make movies in Hollywood anymore. A recent poll shows that 93% of the population of Kalif thinks it's f'd up & yet they put the same morons back in charge! Time to move, time to move, if I keep saying it, maybe it will push me out the door. I've already got some land in Montana. Colorado just scares me, too much like Oregon & Washington State isn't far behind.:crying:

The problem with Colorado isn't Coloradans... it's the Californians that move in.

Over the last ten years or so we'd have Californians move up here on my area of the mountain, buy an acre of land and all of a sudden think they were a Feudal Lord.

Had one couple stop on the dirt road several years ago while I was installing some fencing to rotate pastures for the livestock. They advised me that the had just bought a house at the end of the road that sat on a 'FULL ACRE' of land and that they had the right to say what other people did with their land and that my fence along the road 'ruined the aesthetics and tranquility' of the area.

As one who was obviously born to be the head of a Neighborhood Welcome Wagon I put on the friendliest face I could muster and inquired if they had any dogs in their family. (Loose dogs are a big problem up here.) I was informed that one of the reasons they had bought their mountain dream estate was so their two dogs could be able to 'act like dogs and run free'.

EDUCATION ALERT! EDUCATION ALERT! At this point I felt it was incumbent upon me to explain to these flatlanders the way the world actually turned. I pointed out, very politely mind you, that my leach field was bigger than their entire piece of property and that the only reason the house they bought had been for sale was because the former owners had a dog that was allowed to 'run free'. The free spirited dog had a nasty habit of coming on my property and chasing my horses through the trees, leaving me with the job of sedating them and sewing up the injuries.

After repeatedly asking the owners to lock up their dog I finally solved the problem with the judicious use of a .224 diameter, 55 grain bullet, put the now quite docile animal into the bucket of the front loader and drove the short distance to the vicinity of their front door. Apparently their return from work was not the pleasant experience they had anticipated and required the response of local law enforcement.

Sometimes the police are not your friend. End result, they had a dead dog AND a ticket for letting a dog run at large. Welcome to the mountains.

They moved, the new Californians bought their house... they following winter they DEMANDED that I get up early in the mornings after a heavy snow to plow the dirt road with the front loader so they could get to work.

I'm really not sure why they sold the house the following spring... I certainly hope it wasn't something I said.

The local real estate agents love me... they keep selling the same houses every year.

Now, if they'd just change the law so we could shoot the California flatlanders instead of just their dogs this place would be paradise!

So, come on out guys... I always enjoy meeting new neighbors. :whistling:

Every year when we get that first snow that sticks to the road, I'll work from home until about noon to let the Californians get wrecking their cars out of the way.

I had to cut a feller out of his seat belt when he flipped his Navigator and slid into oncoming traffic a few years back. His vehicle finally stopped about 3 feet off my front bumper.

I ahve to agree w/ you Jack. The ****ers move into Kalif from NY & Chicago, then they move to Colorado & Oregon & Washington & call themesleves Kalifornian's. One thing I was told buy a friend in Montana was when Imove up, leave Kalif behind. Hey, I drive a truck, wear cowboy boots, shoot guns, vote Rebulican & eat meat. Not much I am bringing from Kalif.:tongueout:
