Saw frank on gallery of guns tv program shooting a Taurus 709 slim 9mm and that gun looked nice and it's a 7+1 vs a sub in 357 or 38 with 5 rds . Anybody have one or shot one that can give any pros or cons ?

The Taurus 709 isn't the fanciest or nicest gun in the world, but the sights are adequate, reliability on my wife's has been good, and it's a pretty comfortable and soft shooter for its size.

Search for my review on it here I did about a year ago. Also read some Taurus forums and you will see many common complaints with sights, magazines, etc.

I know a guy who bought one NIB and had to send the gun back to Taurus 2 days later.

I'll stick with my lowly 380+P Micro DE that runs like a Swiss watch.

Or my LCP with the same Barnes X bullet.

You don't get a huge boost in velocity over the DT or Cor-Bon .380s with
most 9mm loads in the Mini-9s.

Finicky guns like the SOLO and more recoil?

Really..If the Pocket 9 appeals to you then look at the LC9.

The one we had ran 100% from the box.

As for Frank James. I enjoy seeing him on Davidson's Guns tv show.

I bought one. Biggest gun mistake I ever made. Search my review on here if you're interested.
