Went to the Lexington Area GSSF Match this week end. Had a great time, go to one if you can.

Saw the Glock Armorer and got somewhat bad news about my beloved G26. There is a crack on the left side at the locking block pin. He said Glock would take care of it if I sent it in. Said about the worst that would happen would be the pin walking out eventually.

I've owned this gun since 2000 and the fact that it is a Gen 2.5 I really don't want to get a new frame. I'm wanting to switch my EDC to a G19. Not sure how well I can conceal one though. So I'm thinking of just retiring it and getting the G19 or another G26. Thoughts or opinions? Here's a pic.

    Thanks.

"Just retiring it?" What are you going to do, throw it away?

Glock will fix it, no problem, so why not let them do it?

Just put it up for "posterity" or whatever because it's a 2.5 model and I'm somewhat attached to it. Silly I know.

Nothing left to be attached to.

Still, it's your pistol, do as you please.

  5. I just got my G21 back from Glock. Had a cracked frame rail. they replaced the frame and gave me 2 new magazines.
It was about 10 years old.

This is the reason you buy a pistol with the customer service reputation that Glock has.... get it fixed. They will make it right.
