Fox palm 0 Lightning bolt 1

    My neighbor is too funny there fox palm was hit by a lightning bolt last week.

    The lightning bolt took out there pool pump two tvs:shocked:
    It took out my wireless router and modem:sad:
     
  3. I've had one close call with lightning.. That was enough!

    A crew of us were camping when a shower hit so we were hanging out under a suspended tarp BSing & watching the lightning when a bolt nailed a tall spruce tree about 50 yards away.
    Yes we felt it, saw it & heard it all at the same time.
    Scared the bejeezus outa the whole bunch of us.
    There was splinters everywhere and the tree had a strip of bark blown off all the way to the roots. The air was heavy with ozone, kind of a sickening sweet smell mixed with the odor of burning green wood.
    It wasn't like we had any "safer place" to go but we were wishing we did.
    It was without doubt one of the loudest noises I've ever heard. Yup..Once was enough!!

    What I mean is funny is that there is a memorial to a tree. And how it is expressed.
