Fort Worth beginners class...

  1. I also posted this in TGT, but wanted to get the word out. It is not a solicition for business. I can not charge for this class.

I will be offering dry handgun classes for beginners in the Fort Worth area at no cost. This is geared toward the beginning/pre CHL holder, someone new to guns, or someone interested in competitive shooting. The focus will be on safety, technique, and handgun manipulation. I am requesting that groups be from 4 to 6 maximum and provide a location that is spacious enough for the group and safe to dry fire handguns. This is designed to last about an hour depending on questions with as much dry fire and manipulation as possible.

I am a two division master in USPSA and range officer since 2006. I can't charge a fee because of my occupation. I have made arrangements with a range North of Fort Worth for shooting instruction later on, depending on the groups preferences. Range fees will apply. If you have any questions call me at 817-366-6099. Please feel free to pass this on.

  3. While I'm not totally surprised in the lack of interest generated by the forum, I am a little perplexed by the the procrastination from those that told me they wanted to do this.

On a positive note, I have had more time on the weekends than I expected and have been able to take advantage of this great Texas weather.

This forum used to be a lot more active. I don't know why it has slowly died over the years.

Good for you, for giving these classes. I wish more people would actively get involved in spreading around their responsible firearm knowledge.

  5. Thanks and a bump update. I may be working a deal out for a place to do this in the HEB area also.
  6. Really great offer, we have done like things. What I found is that alot of folks are lazy, or talk about how they are going to do bla..bla....Keep up the good path and you'll prosper.

Along with the procrastinators...I think some are just uncomfortable about it, whether it be the gun, a class, whatever. Some, I believe want to do, and experience, but just can't take that step out of their comfort zone.

Others , I think, are happy with where they are, and information otherwise isn't welcome, and some just know it all already.
