Question for Massad Ayoob. What are the odds of one not surviving, or suffering serious injury, when forced into a back room during an armed robbery? This happened to me many years ago, fortunately no one was hurt. I have seen figures from 10 - 20% but have not seen a reference.
    Thanks in advance.

No idea, but it's understood it's Not A Good Thing. No one is compiling national stats on it, fortunately. Ya gotta take it within the totality of the circumstances, and trust your own judgment based on how you read their actions and body language, and your own ability to carry out response options.

    best,
    Mas

    Thanks for the response.

Not sure why you would think it fortunate that there are no data on the subject. As one who has been in such a situation I would find the info meaningful.

Thanks for catching the typo. It should, of course, have read "unfortunately."
