NY SAFE act FAQs:
Disgusting. My apologies go out to you.
I just hope it doesn't spread.
HOLY CRAP, I thought it was bad for you all up there till I read that link. All of us around the coutry must say Sorry for your loss....................
I wonder how long before the Peoples Socialist State of Kalifornia does the same.
We the people are tacking this to the NYS Supreme Court for a Repeal. What Gov. Como did was against the Law & our 2nd Amend rights.
I second this, I have no love for mayor bollonburge, if you guys could get him arrested for his straw purchase down here n AZ, you would be free of him.
Yup, it is unconstitutional. Now we just gotta prove it.
I joined the NRA, have you yet?
The situation in New York was bad when I relocated; it's worse now. Hopefully this madness is not contagious and spreads to Pennsylvania.
I don't see it making out alive through supreme court.
Q: I am a gun enthusiast. What should I do?
Answer: You should move out of this pathetic state ASAP.
Move to a Gun Friendly Area like ISREAL.
At the bottom of the site it states that this is not a source for legal opinions, just for information.
Therefore, tell them they have no standing for the information if it is not legally binding.
You're assuming the make up of the Supreme Court will be the same if this is ever taken up by them. I'm sure you full well know any Obama nominee will have to pass a anti 2A litmus test to even be considered for nomination to the court.
So sorry. I would move.
Wow, that truly sucks.
Sorry, I stopped reading after the first topic "What does this law do?" and saw the words "common sense." Every gun grabbing political reject out there uses those two words together every time they want to ban something firearm related and it's never common sense...never not once in a million years. They throw that phrase in there for the dumb dumbs that actually vote them into office.
Sorry your state is one of a few large cities that will just never get it and don't care, even if they do since they have a different agenda than "stopping crime".
I think this law has left something out entirely. The wording does not seem to cover unassembled weapons. For example, you take an AR15 apart and now have a lower and an upper, and no complete functional weapon. Neither part alone is illegal or banned. You could keep it disassembled for what ever reason if you didn't want to register it. Am I wrong here? Same thing should be true about larger magazines.
We can only hope.
Gag me with a ramrod.
