I havent been too satisfied with the brightness of my BSA RD30 red dot.

A while ago A friend showed me his rifle with a JPoint on it, and he told me it had a sandwich pack on it that contained another battery. This gave me an idea.

My BSA and my Target Sports red dots both use the CR2032 battery. From what I can tell this means the battery is 20mm across and 3.2mm thick. There is a 2016 battery which is half the thickness. I took two of these 2016 batteries and placed them together, positive to negative, then put some super glue around the edge. Try to seal the entire edge so that it doesnt conduct electricity or it may not get the full 6 volts. Rubber cement may work as well, but, I do not have any to test.

I put my new battery pack in my BSA, and, I must say, the dot looks great. It is much brighter now and the dot seems crisper.

Most dots can handle double the voltage, but, dont try this unless you are willing to replace your sight.
