Nice pickup. It's a sweet shooter for sure.

I'm not sure what I'll change on it yet. I really need to get the Norinco finished. I know I will not be putting a flat trigger on on it.

Those R1's are nice looking guns. I like the basic 1911 look and the nice sights are a plus. Had the opportunity to shoot my friends new R1 and it performed flawlessly and shot well. Great gun for the money IMO.

Thanks. I'm not understanding the Shipwreck reference but, when I first got into guns I shot a beat up 92 and really liked how it felt and for being something so used, it shot extremely well. I then bought a SA Mil-Spec and its been 1911s as my #1 gun, however I've always had a want for a 92. Well I went to my LGS to see if they had anything 1911 wise and nothing seemed to catch my eye. I decided just to browse the other cases where I happened upon the Beretta section and couldn't help but ask to see the 92-A1. After fondling it for a bit I put money down on it right then and there. It seemed to have the best features of the 90-two and 92FS in one package. I felt like I was sinning since I bought a pistol nowhere close to a 1911 on March 29th. :whistling:

In any case, I'm guessing that the 90-two mags are the same as the 92-A1?

ETA: Ahhhh, now I get the Shipwreck reference. Well the difference is that I didn't sell any 1911s to buy the Beretta. The 1911 is still my #1 gun but the Beretta has been something I've always wanted to pick up.

    ^^^

I'm not denying anything. Have been recently drawn to the look of the 92. Held a couple at the gun show. Just need to shoot a few to see how I will like them.

Was just busting your ba11s for not buying another 1911 on its birthday.:tongueout:
