    Alternate answer: Polls are unreliable.

I believe that polling itself has also changed.
Today's polls are just one more political tool, designed to influence a voter's decision. And they will lie to accomplish that goal.

Obama is really in huge trouble. The media is trying to suppress the anti-Obama vote. Just vote, and tune into MSNBC on election night for epic entertainment.

Unfortunately, I think Coulter has hit the nail on the head.

A lot of us, me included, dont' like to think about the fact that our country is rapidly changing into a different one. But, if you look at how the demographics have changed since then, it was almost inevitable.

And, I think the polls show that it may not be reversible. What absolutely drives many of us crazy about where the country is heading, makes a large (and getting larger) portion of the population very happy.

How else do you explain Obama getting elected in the first place with his qualifications, and what he said he stood for? He didn't sneak up on us. He is doing what he said he would do to the country.

    You are right, absolutely right.
Over 1/2 of the country underestimated Obama.. particularly his STAR power. Many of us thought qualifications and work history were critical criteria-- we were wrong. The country has changed.... for the worse.

Reagan and Obama, cut from the same cloth?

And, this chart, that doesn't even show anything regarding Obama, proves that?

Here's a better chart, with the debt adjusted as a percentage of the GNP. It's a little more revealing (a chart where more inflation make the deficit look better isn't really that great).

See the problem? We always had boom periods following our wars that allowed us to expand our economy. Think that's going to happen this time?

    Want to try again?

One thing sure...we're all the better experienced for seeing the folly of depending on the MSM to properly vett all the candidates and deliver us needed info in a fair and balanced journalistic manner. They failed the republic...deliberately...and they're no better now than Al Qaeda, MoveOn, the Muslim Brotherhood, Pravda, and the DU trolls who attempt to snow everyone. The MSM will be the big loser in all this, and it's beginning to show already.

I think we're better for it, in a lot of ways. A bit more jaded, but better and smarter. I think Hussein and his marxist pals (including in the MSM) are in for a big surprise real soon.

Let me spell it out then. Reagan oversaw the first tripling of the national debt since what, WWII? Obama is carrying that mantle pretty well i'd say.

And, he expanded our economy at the same time, allowing it to be paid back.

You think your man is going to do that? Not so far, for sure.

The Republican party has been dragged too far to the right by the tea baggers and the Palin ilk. To those in the middle that usually decide elections the Republicans have become too extreme. If Reagan were around to day he would be considered a Democrat.

    :rofl::rofl::rofl:

Who is the party's nominee again...?

By the way -- given up on your argument that the evil GOP is screwing retired veterans out of COLA's (just as the rest of the FedGov retirees have been for years...?).

Hopefully, the whole novelty of a half black president only works once.

Romney won the nomination by default. He had about 25% support in the primaries. He was the best choice among all the other losers.

    And no.

...So a moderate candidate wins "by default" in a party overtaken by right wing extremists?

    Your rationale lacks substance.

I'm going with my pal Don on this one. Forget the polls. Watch Matthews election night.

    Most polls are unreliable.

However, the mentality of this country has changed, and I only see the entitlement mentality spreading in the future.

The latest Wash Post/CBS poll showed....

    Obama 63%

    Romney 31%

With a 3.5% margin of error.

Wow! If you consider that being even the I need to talk to you about some prime swampland, uh...... Real estate in Florida. :tongueout:
