Hi everyone! I just bought my first gun, a glock 19 gen 4. I will be carrying this gun as my cc gun daily after attending sone more defensive pistol classes. Also I bought the Raven concealment Phantom lc holster.... Best holster ever! I have a tlr 1 on it and am wondering if Crimson trace laser grips are worth the money.

    Thanks in advance!

I guess a little about me would be helpful... I am a 21 year old paramedic in school to be a PA. I am a hiker and backpacker (will now be an armed hiker ;)), mountain bike, and kayaker. I am relatively new to handguns but have been a shooter since I was around 5 shooting anything from an ar-15 to black powder by the time I was ten. I look forward to learning from all of you so any advice you have please shoot... No pun intended.

    Have a great day!

The thing about the LaserGrips is that the laser module protrudes outward to the right about 13mm or 1/2", creating a bulge that can print.

You have to decide whether that 13mm bulge is acceptable, or not, for your application.

Not sure, but it also may no longer fit the holster.

The way the holster sits it shouldn't effect it. I however I'm not a big guy. I'm 6' 190lbs....So the extra bulk may be a problem since this gun is hard enough to concealed as is :)

Okay I'm big... But I don't consider myself as having much to hide with... I really want to adjust the cant of my raven concealment holster but I can't figure out the best method of doing so. I have the tuckable c hooks...

Doesn't take much. The hooks on your holster are wide apart, so it should "spread the bulge" and make it unnoticeable. A loose shirt and you're GTG.

It should be easy to get almost any cant you want with C hooks. Just install one higher than the other. Or... am I missing something?

I tried just screwing in one of the screws to allow it to swivel because different height levels makes for a difficult belt feed. I don't know, still love the holster!

The Glock 19 seems to be about the best compromise for a carry gun. Some training would be a good idea. Most of my training was during my Army years.

I am old and prone to give advice. Rather than do that, I suggest you determine what sources on information is authoritative. Just note, many old timers are full of BS.

Remember, there is knowing the weapon and there is knowing the legal environment.

    Have safe fun.
