    Hey guys.
I recently acquired a barely used Glock 36 Serial GRC and finally took it to the range last night.
I love this gun. The size and and caliber are perfect for me.
It fired beautifully except for a few minor hiccups.

    FTE video

    Good times

I was shooting FMJ, Blazer ammo 230 grain, and Federal FMJ 230 grain and Federal Hydrashock 165 grain reduced recoil.
About 100 rounds total. 50 rounds of Blazer, 25 of Federal FMJ and 25 of Federal JHP.

The hollow points fed flawlessly and minimal recoil.

Two of the Blazer rounds failed to eject before it stripped the next round off the magazine, causing a jam.

This happened in the same magazine.

The first jam was no big deal. A quick clear and it was good.
On the second jam (2 rounds later), the spent casing was stuck in the barrel still and it tried to feed another.
I was able to safely clear it and no harm done.

I had one other failure to eject after that, nothing dramatic.

I actually have it on video when it happened. I'll post it tonight.
Definitely no limp-wristing, since it wasn't happening frequently.
And the accuracy was INCREDIBLE! Really surprised myself. :D

Is due to the crap ammo I'm using?
    Or is there a problem?
Or is this something I have to get used to with this gun?

Is it just me, or does this gun build gun carbon really quickly?
After the first few magazines the barrel caked.

Any info is greatly appreciated. :wavey:

Can't wait to get back to the range!
    Videos will be posted later.

Your guess with the sub-standard ammo may be correct. I have only shot 3 types of high quality rounds out of my G36 (NKX...ser#), and no problems. Not much carbon either - so experiment - and keep us posted on results. Good Luck

    Thanks for the response.
I'm going to try some other cheap ammo and see what happens.
Glad the JHP shot fine, and 2-3 out of 100 isn't terrible.
Hopefully it just needs to be broken in.

Took the G36 to range yesterday. Shot Remington Golden Sabers, 185 grain; Winchester Supreme Elite Bonded PDX, 230 gr., and Winchester "white box" 230 gr. FMJ. All cycled and shot flawlessly. The 36 has become my favorite CCW. Good luck with yours. Cheers...

The only failures I experienced were when mine was fresh, MTR serial number range. Coming from an all metal Beretta 9mm to the Glock, I'm sure I was just limpwristing it. A little work on my grip, and I've been fine since.

Flawless after 200 rounds or so.
