I bought a G19 gen 4 just under two weeks ago. I finally got to shoot it yesterday. The wife and I headed to the range. To my surprise she bought me a range membership for fathers day! So we went in and started shooting. We put about 200 rounds down range and it was AWESOME. We had a few casings hit our head but for the most part it ejected fine.

We pulled out my Ruger SR22P and shot that for a bit. I shoot the Glock more accurately which makes me happy. I am ecstatic I chose a Glock. I am new to firearms and initially I didn't want a polymer gun for my first 9mm. I changed my mind when I rented a G17 and that week bought the G19. I LOVE IT

Glock is the most accurate pistol, right out of the box, that you can find. Bar none. Congrats.

About the Ruger SR22P, beware of the "take down lever" failure. My SR22P just came apart...like an explosion while I was shooting. It sent the slide, recoil spring and rod down the range. Left in my shooting hand was just the frame.

It only had 500 rds. thought it, with good ammo, low power type CCI/Blazer. My local gun shop said that there may be a recall for this gun. I checked on Youtube and found a few folks that had exactly the issue that I had. Anyway, I got 100% refund on my money....put down for another pistol. Anyway, just let you know so be careful with your SR22P.

To love Glock is to shoot it. Once you shoot it...you will be hooked. Don't let the look or the feel good of a gun fool you.

It did fool me for several years due to the "plastic" and "ugly" vibes people said. It was my bad for believing them. But once I gave a Glock a try. That was the end of me. I saw the light.

    SHOOTING is BELIEVING.

I never look back at since 1998. Glock all the way.

The Glock 19 was the first pistol I shot when I was 12. 19 years later it is what I carry.

Get it?? 19 years later a Glock 19!? Okay shut up John....

My wife (former Marine) and I go to the range together a lot. She was a died-in-the-wool .357mag gal. One day, I was practicing with my G26 and the G19 was just lying there on the bench. She took it and ran a magazine through it.

It quickly became "her" gun and I had to go buy another G19 for myself.

Gotta call ya on this one. In fact, factory Glock barrels are known to be loose. Just about any comparable 1911, Sig, or Hk is more accurate out of the box.
