    Ok, here we go.

I just brought home a battered Browning Hi Power .40 that I got from a buddy. He wants a Ruger 10/22 action to build a tack driver out of. I'll find him one soon.

The gun was molested by some crackhead and has many issues. In a nutshell, I'll be replacing the barrel, safety, sights, various pins and screws and having the gun refinished.

I'm kind of liking the hard chrome parts on a blue gun but haven't seen one yet to decide if it would be too "popcorn" for one of Saint John Browining's creations.

Ideas and pictures of yours and maybe some links to good re-finishers would be appreciated. I like parkerizing as well as blue.

If you need to swap the barrel, get a 357 sig....I like mine that way.
