Hopefully the pic loaded okay. I've been working on it for almost a year. It's finally setup to my liking. I have a second stripped lower that I'm gonna start to build in the next couple of months.

    Looks good man!

I am not versed on CA requirements.... so the mag has to be "permanent" i've seen that device but you can have 30rd mags than??

And collapsible stocks are legal too?

    Looks good!

  4. You have 2 choices for new builds as a civilian:

    1. Permanently fix the 10 round magazine with a bullet button that prevents removal except by a tool (usually a bullet tip). See below how the mag release button is actually a solid piece while the center recessed area is the actual release that necessitates you to use a small pointed object. The fashionable thing is to have a fake 20 or 30 rounder looking mag that only takes 10 rounds with the addition of a bottom filler that prevents the loading of more than 10 rounds. They call it the 10/20 or 10/30 mag. You can have whatever evil features you want like telescoping stocks or bayonet lugs.

    2. Take out the pistol grip and make it a "California AR" with a Monsterman grip or some other atrocity that makes it handle like a regular stocked rifle. Google the terms at your own peril. What has been seen cannot be unseen. But you can have detachable 10 round mags in that case since there is no pistol grip to make the gun evil.

    Behind an AR-15
  6. CA AR-15 owners just shows you that where there is a will there is a way.

That and the morons writing the antigun laws have no idea what they are doing.

Thanks everyone for the positive comments. The lower has a "Bullet Button" and the Magazine is a Magpul 30 rnd. modified to hold only 10 rnds. The lower is a CMMG w/ a Stag trigger group. The upper was built by J&T Distributors. The barrel is a chrome-lined 1x9 and the folding sites are my Midwest Industries. AR's are alive and well here in Cali and it's owners are plentiful. We just have to play by different rules out here.

ColdWar Shooters out in Highland, Ca. sold me the stripped lowers for 189 each.
  11. Yeah, well, Bushmaster decided to make an official "California AR" and that's the name of the rifle. The magwell is sealed off and you have to topfeed 10 rounds via stripper clip or 1 at a time. It is the stupidest thing to see an AR with a solid magwell and they still want over a grand for it!

By the way, our state also bans civilian ownership of such highly dangerous items such as brass knuckles, switchblades, PR-24 batons, straight sticks (our old style hardwood batons), nunchakus, ASP batons, sap gloves, butterfly knives, and assorted other dangerous and prohibited weapons. Yeah... worry about those things in the hands of civilians... cuz we have had too much of this PR-24 or nunchaku violence that's sweeping the inner cities of California.

Somebody needs to give all the legislators in Sacramento a collective wood shampoo.
