Picked up a used Bushmaster XM15-E2S for $500 from a local shop. They had several traded in from a neighboring SO's Swat team.

    Fixed handle
    Four-position stock
There's some normal wear marks on the receiver which I don't mind. First AR, after all.

Anyway, thoughts? Good deal? Bad deal?

Picking up a working disspator style bushmaster for 500 bucks? Can't complain about that. Good job. Police trade in, check the rifling and maybe throw a new firing pin and fire control springs in it.

FOr $500 not bad. Checking the wear items and replace what's needed, should be a reliable rifle.

I'd suggest getting it checked over by a gunsmith familiar with ARs, just to be sure theres nothing terribly worn and the barrel isn't shot out. Assuming the main components are fine, I'd get the extractor assembly (extractor, spring, insert, and o-ring) replaced, along with the firing pin, and fire control springs.

Hey a "Dissy" I still want one. I would have bought that for $500 in a heart beat!!! Good find. The sight radius is awesome on dissy's.

    Thanks, W'P'. Much appreciated.

Anybody know a reputable AR gunsmith in Portland Oregon? Or a good person around Glock Talk to ask?
