I am looking at buying my first 1911 later this year. I would like to spend around 1k. I would like to add the 1911 to the carry rotation so I was looking at something commander sized with a 4" to 4.5" barrel. I stumbled across the STI Guardian and like the look of it. I would buy it in the 45ACP. It looks like no one in my area sells them, so getting my hands on one first is going to be very hard, if not impossible. I found some places that sell them on line for just under or just over $1000 plus shipping. That seems to be right in my price range. I am a bit worried about buying a gun that I will never get to see or touch until I own it. The STI seems to get good reviews and looks like a good bang for my buck. So whats everyone's opinion will this be a good choice for my first 1911? Here is a link for a dealer selling it for $999 and free shipping http://www.oakhillenterprises.com/ItemDetails/736544741/STI_Guardian_45_acp_NEW_1911.htm STI Guardian http://www.stiguns.com/the-sti-guardian/ Wanna kill these ads?
