I have owned a kimber custom 2 in 45 acp for a while now.
Decided to clean the firing pin and extractor today. Got them both out with no trouble but can't seem to remove the firing pin lock plunger. Help!

    Hi 2Dogs,

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but in order to remove the firing pin lock from the slide you are going to have to remove the rear sight.

Here's a link showing a diagram of the parts:

Enjoy your Series II Kimber. <---Sarcasm :)

If ya remove the plunger, what are you going to do about the frickin hole?

Just leave it alone, or sell and buy one without a pin safety.

I think he was just trying to clean it, not remove it permanently.

    Thanks TimB92020,

I figured it would be something like that.
