After much research and deliberation, I finally placed my order for a Les Bear TRS. I am stoked to say the least. I went with the model with FCS as I actually prefer them on this gun. I'll post pics when I get it. Hopefully it is everything I want in a 1911, as it will be my first and I thought I might as well go for a good one.

Congratulations! Start working those arm muscles...mine was tighter than Ft Knox when I got it.

Is it better to try and break it down for a proper cleaning or just go put a couple hundred rounds through it to help loosen it up?

I always clean my guns before shooting. Never know when a sliver of steel might be lurking!

Very true. I cleaned my TRS after 100 rounds. Wasn't terrible to field strip either.

Well here she is. Came in the other day. Really a beautiful pistol and solidly built. Hope to get to the range before 2011 and try it out!
