After 6 months of indecision and torturous visits to the gun store, I came home with a TRP on Saturday. Having spent my entire handgun shooting life with plastics and revolvers, the first disassembly and cleaning seemed to take forever. I managed to get through it with no idiot marks (except for the 1 on my ceiling from the Recoil Spring Plug  ) I got her to the range this afternoon where she ate everything I threw at her with zero failures. I cannot believe I waited this long to add a 1911 to the collection. Thanks to everyone on this board. The knowledge out here is unbelievable. Now if we could just get a ban on 1911 photos to keep this thing from multiplying! Sorry about the crappy cell pic, but thats the new girl with my carry. The only two .45s in the safe (for now...)

Thanks. Like I said it took me forever to make the decision. Everytime I looked at other models, I always found something I would want to change and my price point would start to move. For me the TRP was perfect and I wouldnt need to rely on my crack set of gunsmithing skills. I couldn't be happier.
