    The family debate here on beach vs woods as a family vacation has been decided.

    After a short trip to NE Georgia, that we all loved, the other 3 members of my family have finally come around. All it took was some gold panning and a nice peaceful area.

    The woods beats the beach. Now, I know where I will live in a few years. We will make it our goal to live someplace like NE Georgia, more rural than tourist trap.

    The beach has some good pluses, but the woods are where it's at. Find a spot with a stream and all is well.

    The woods over the beach. Any day, any season. Here's a picture of Island Park, Idaho.

    Both;

    Being Michigan born & raised, we're spoiled...especially those from S.W. Michigan.

    Beach? More coast line than any other state in the nation. Woods? Plenty, real close, everywhere.

    Why force a choice?:supergrin:

    The Subaru would for sure be better on MPG than the Tahoe through the mountains, lol.

    I only got 200 miles on a little over a half of tank coming home from NE Georgia the scenic route.
