Took me forever and a half to finish it due to the recent AR craze following Sandy Hook. Anyway enough about that, here it is:

  2. Wow I really like it. What did you use on your lower for the color or did it come that way? Congrats on a finished project. I'm still working on my first one.

Lower and upper I duracoated in FDE. Used one of their Shake N Spray kits for like $40. And yes I built it myself

5.56 I have plenty. However it wouldn't work very well considering its chambered in 300 BLK. I can't find any ammo in that flavor but I got a couple of boxes of Hornady 110gr VMax in 300 Whisper which from extensive research, I learned will work just fine.

They are sweet! I have a quad on a carbine that will be coming off soon and getting replaced with a Troy Alpha.

Awesome rifle. Did you have any trouble getting the alpha rail squared up and level with the receiver's flat top? I just installed one and it is slightly higher than the flat top. No matter how many times I tried it ended up like that.

Actually yes I did. I was using a cheap barrel but and it didn't really agree with the Alpha. I ended up ordering a Troy barrel but and it went on and lined up perfectly.
