Can anyone recommend a red fiber optic front sight that will work on a ported slide like on the 24/34/35 models? It seems many advertse they will not work for ported/compensated models.

Do you mean a ported barrel? I have TruGlos mounted on my 24 and 34 with no problem. Neither have a ported barrel. They do overhang the slide cut.

Both. I have a 24 and my father has a 24c. We'd be interested in something that doesn't overlap the slide cut.

I have an Ameriglo green fiber optic on my Glock 17c, with no problems. I clean it with Windex and a cotton swab. The exhaust gases do not seem to bother it. I have had it on the gun for about one year and over 1,000 rounds.

I was not sure when I bought it and Ameriglo sent it to me to try. They said if it works, just send them a check, which I did. A very good Company to deal with.

The 17c is a different slide cut. This is particular to the 24/34/35 models with the large slide cut. I'm just wondering which red front sight won't overlap the cut. Most everything I've found seems to be pretty long and would probably overlap.

i run warren/sevigny competition wide notch rear, and fiber optic front sights on most all my glocks, including my 31c (ported barrel and slide cutout). they work great, no issues at all. the fiber optic 'rods' do break from time to time from holster ins and outs.

The Warren/Sevigny front fiber optic sight looks narrow and short enough. I bet that would fit. Thanks for sharing.

no betting involved, they do work, also on my g34 and g35!

contact them though to get the correct sight height, it does vary based on sight radius and slide length.

I have a Dawson Precision on a 34 that doesn't overhang the slide "window".

I had a TFO on it before, which does overhang the window, but it never created an issue.

Just to add to the thread; I also recently found out the Trijicon HD front night sight will fit as well. It's not fiber optic, but will serve the same purpose.
