I heard that others had not gotten their expected birthday discount from Midway this year, so I was not expecting one.

Lo and behold, an email showed up yesterday from Larry with my birthday discount. Looks like we were playing chicken. In prior years, it showed up at the 30 days in advance, this year it showed up one week in advance. I checked the links, and the offer was good.

So now Larry (and the NRA) have a bit more of my cash. Another T/C barrel in 223 to develop low velocity loads, and SWMBO replaced my old, crotchety chrono with a new CED M2 (gotta keep her). With discount, the new CED was $170. Equally good deal on the T/C barrel.

    Larry, you're the best.

Next year Willard Scott will wish you Happy Birthday. Is the basket on your walker big enough to hold the display of your CED? :whistling:

Fred, did yours show up a week or so before your birthday? I looks like they held off hoping I'd order without the discount. I'd speced out the barrel, and Midsouth was the cheapes price. With the birthday discount, it was $20 less at Midway. The M2 was a bonus.

Not in my case. When I'd look up an item, it showed regular price and birthday price. Go find a CED M2 for $170 at Midway.

I got my birthday discount 2-3 weeks before my birthday. Dropped ~$200 and saved a shade over 13%.

I could use some more Sierra and XTP bullets. How much is the BD discount, and does it apply to sale items?

Call the nice lady at Midway or e-mail them. Good folks there.

BD discount is not automatic. It's on a lottery. Sucks to find out you didn't win it on your birthday. :crying:

They had sent me an email with August discount codes. When I went to finalize an order for 69gr SMKs and 125gr XTPs, the codes had expired. So, I won't place the order. That'll teach them... (yeah, right!).

You may consider giving OKWeber.com a try. I stumbled across them when hunting for the best price on Sierra's 77gr BTHP bullets. I haven't actually ordered from them because I found the 77s for cheaper on another site, but I figured I would pass along the info. They also have flat rate shipping ($10.90).
