I don't see why not. Is it the 50 round box of FMJ? I shoot that all the time in my Glock 26 and my friend shoots it through his 23. No problems. Just an occasional crappy bullet. Had 2 bullets so far that had no powder in them. but that's out of 300+. It is also not very accurate for me compared to high priced sd rounds.

And that price looks very painful. I am trading my 26 for a 30sf. The ammo on the 26 is $10 a box. now its going up to $25 for a box with the 30sf. Can't wait....

What do you mean "allowed"? Who is restricting you?
Outside of non-jacketed lead and factory disclaimers against reloads I have shot pretty much everything through mine.

No need to pay that price. I just ordered a case at $17.50+frt. A couple of weeks ago, I paid $18/box for REM FMJ at Dick's when they had a 10% off deal. Normal price is $20/box. I also buy from Precision Cartridge for $317/1000 ($16//box). So, you've got a lot of options for cheaper .45 FMJ. Just search a little harder.

If it's .45ACP ammo, it'll be just fine in your G21. What's "allowed" ammo?

While I am sorry to see that some are still faced with having to pay high prices for their practice ammo, I consider Federal AE ammo (regardless of caliber) to be a "best buy" and stock up on it whenever I can. If you've gotten FMJ or TMJ ammo, you are all set.

You know, they put this cool little book in the box that the Glock comes in.

    It's called the manual.

It has all the information you'll need on "Allowed" ammunition.

You can shoot anything but unjacketed lead in a Glock barrel that has polygonal rifling. You might have some feeding issues from the magazine with wad cutters though.

    Sir,

Federal makes very good quality .45 ACP FMJ ammo. It will work very well in your G-21. You need have no concern about using any such commercially produced standard 230 gr. FMJ load. The only concern you need have is using ammo loaded with plain cast/swagged lead bullets. Such bullets are not recommended for use with any Glock factory barrel. With aftermarket barrels by Lone Wolf, etc., one may use cast/swagged lead bullets.

The price you mention at Wal-Mart is higher than what I am seeing in my area. In my area Federal Champion .45 ACP 230 gr. ammo runs $17.99/50 rds. at Wal-Mart. Winchester white box 230 gr. .45 ACP loads run $34.79/100 rds. I have found WWB 230 gr. JHP ammo at Wal-Mart for $26.99/50 rds. If you are unable to find more reasonable prices for ammo, I would suggest that you look at ordering from some of the websites listed in this thread. Another option is to purchase a basic reloading outfit and reload your own ammunition. That will very substantially reduce your cost as well as all you to avoid being at the mercy of ammo stocking decisions by Wal-Mart or other retailers. Sincerely. Brucev.

"allowed" ammo------seems like parma woods outside of parkville, range is sorta particular about which ammo is being fired there-----that was my reference to "allowed"

yeah on the price --i was thinking it was marked 17.99 or similar and thought that was how much is was......but the 18 year old bag of estrogen that rang it up --came to 107 and change.......i dont think she entered the price, i think it was a scanned in item.........and i was busy talking with a the manager on another matter.......so i paid for it an went home--i consider that a 30.00 dollar or so lesson learned and not to be repeated........thanks all for the information

Federal is now owned by Blazer I believe. It's good stuff. I have 1000's of rounds of the .40S&W and 9mm.

I just scored 4 boxes of Federal 45acp from my local walmart. I was surprised to see it on the shelf, but was really surprised to see it was only $15.97 per box of 50. :wow:
