This is the first I have seen of the Federal Champion 100rd packs at walmart in .45acp and .40sw. The .40 was actually more than 45 at around $28/100 and the 9mm was still $19.97. I'm not sure I have ever seen US made brass case 45 fmj that cheap since I've been buying and shooting it.

That's good price for .45ACP. I'm going to have to make a run to Wally World and stock up then.

  3. Yeah I've been stocking up for a few months now since they have that on the shelves. I'm sure it will dry up soon like the WWB did in my area. Good price and awesome range ammo to boot (Federal).

My local WM carries them but they sell out as soon as they come in.

  5. I haven't seen these yet but I might have to run by Walmart on the way home from work. Thanks for the heads up.

Yep, the Federal 100 packs, never see the light of day at my WM...Bought by some Gun Shops, that get the heads up and buy it all for resale...Sucks...

  8. I stopped by Walmart earlier and I didn't even see an area of the shelf marked for those. I hope I run across some because that is an awesome price for .45ACP.

  9. none up here, nothing less than 37.00 per hundred pack, and they're gone fast. pretty much all i can afford is tulammo, good thing my g36 speaks russian:cool:

  10. Same here, and fortunately my 1911 has no problem running steel cased ammo. The only thing with the Tula .45 is that it is very smoky and kinda of a pain in indoor ranges.

That is an excellent price for .45ACP. Are you sure about this? I love Federal, my 9mm, 45ACP, and .22's eat them up. They are not dirty at all.

I would post a pic of my receipts but they just say 'ammo' then a bunch of numbers and $25.97.

The guy said they had just been put on the shelf and the prices were hand written instead of the yellow barcode stickers. I have not seen US brass case 45 that cheap since I've been shooting; since it was cheaper than the FedChamp in .40 it is very possible someone somewhere made a mistake.

I bought two with some 9mm, then went home to get more cash and came back to buy 3 more. I am already sitting on a few cases of 45 but at that price I couldn't pass it up. There were at least 6 more boxes which I should have bought but funds are limited.

Started doing some math, and you basically get some deeply discounted brass, primers, and powder. I was in!

Sadly, the .45ACP sells for $39/100 for WWB (didn't see the Federal pack) and the Remington UMC yellow box is about $89/250. The 50-round boxes went for $17 and above.

This price gouging is what led me to finally start reloading last year. Even with component prices continually going skyward, it's not near the kick in the butt that these guys are dishing out.

9X19 WWB is still about $20.97/box of 100 around here, though.

Was out getting some stuff to grill later, so I just had to stop by the sporting goods section to see what was available. I was beside myself when I saw this:

I asked if I could buy all of them, since there were just a few boxes remaining. Anyway, I should have a good supply of SPP .45ACP brass after this is gone. As much as I despise that cartridge design, I've got so much of it now that I may as well reload it, too. I prefer the LPP brass, so that I can reload 10mm and .45ACP at the same time, but that's OK. Adapt and overcome, I suppose.

Apologies to anyone here from the Georgetown area. I just cleaned 'em out today

Been pickin up boxes of 9mm every time they have em on the shelf at my local WM in Elkin, NC. When they DO have them, they are going for $21.37 out the door.
