I am going to get an MP3 player in a few days for my workouts. What are your favorite songs to get jacked to? The first song on mine will be "Let the Bodies Hit the Floor" by Drowning Pool.

I've always had an adversion to music while lifting. To me, music is for the pumper toner set down at the fern and chrome gym. I just can't imagine Hackenschmidt, Anderson, Saxon, Grimek, Kono, Dimas, Coan, Rezazadeh etc. worried about music so they could get a good workout in.

    Of course, ymmv.

California Jack - yes, you did. Very old school.

I do like music when I am lifting. Anything heavy metal, as long as it's fast. Drowning Pool, Anthrax, Metallica, Pantera, Slayer. At home, I have an MP3 player, or just don't listen to anything. At 24 Hour, the closest choice is an FM rock station. The hats-backward, wifebeater-wearing kids keep putting it on Top 40 or rap, and we have to keep turning it back to music.

    I 2nd
    Tool
    Prodigy

I think the music you use is like whatever workout you do. It needs to be changed up and kick started.

Most people don't know that song. It is a great adrenaline song as well as Calypso.

For lifting I usually like clasic rock like Boston's "More Than A Feeling" or Bon Jovi "Livin' On A Prayer"

The problem is that when you travel a lot, sometimes the fern and chrome gym is your only realistic choice. In that case, loud aggressive music on headphones is far better than listening the J.Lo or Britney and the murder of the guy doing curls in the squat rack that would surely follow.

    And, as for music:
I'll second Rollins, specifically On My Way to the Cage, Illumination, and Your Number is One.
    Black Flag
    Bad Brains
    Slayer
    Tool
    A Perfect Circle
    Killswitch Engage
