Who has chubby paws and owns a non SF model? I do and I think holding the pistol feels fine. I prefer the thicker grip. Anyone else?

Can you touch your thumb and index finger together while holding the gun?

Yes but they don't overlap each other. Just the tips of my fingers touch. When I had my 1911 my middle finger and thumb would almost overlap the nails.

I have short fingers on top of chubby.
On gen 3's barley. The gen 4's give me a little more grip. I much prefer the gen 4 grip.
I have no touch on my Beretta.

When I had my G23 I could touch my fingers really well and then when I got this 30 it was a whole new ball game. I didn't like it at first, but I have grown to love it. I have a 3rd gen and the SF was not available for the first responders discount.

I have "stumpy" hands too. I prefer the Gen4 so much more than the others. It feels like I can actually get a grip on the gun.

How do you like the grip texture on the gen 4? I think it's to rough. Does it wear a spot on your shirt?

I don't actually have mine yet, I just used the LGS one to try it out. Felt great in my hand though. There might be a few spots I want to file down or maybe after a few hundred rounds I agree it's to rough
