Farmington Hills PD is at it again!

Discussion in 'Michigan Glockers' started by brucek, Jun 18, 2007.

  1. I'm trying to sell a SW Model 36 to a buddy. We both live in Farmington Hills. As some of you know there is a 5 day cooling off period then the Chief signs the purchase permit only on Thursdays. So it is always "a week from Thursday" to get a permit. Friend goes in a week from last Tuesday and fills out the ap and is told to come back A week from Thursday. He shows up last Thursday afternoon and the clerk can't find his paperwork. She looks around and finds it in an inbox full of other unprocessed permits and says there was a "glitch" of some sort and they would call him when it was ready. She wouldn't be specific. And my buddy has pulled lots of permits in the past with no problem. It's now Monday PM and they haven't called and when he called Friday they had no answer for him. Must be Chief Dwyer's new idea of gun control!

I thought there was legislation outlawing this type of BS?:steamed:

The law concerning these issues is clear, however there is no mechanism to force compliance.

At SAFR we have tried to get this cleaned up and it is a difficult process. Your buddy needs to speak with the chief about this, here is all the info he needs:

Be calm, be professional and have the facts. All the information you need can be found here:

This is yet another reason to get a CCW. I've only had to wait for a purchase permit once. (It did take the week plus as described.) After that I got my CCW and only have to return to the PD for "safety inspections".
