I have been reading these forums for days since I originally joined. Plan on purchasing a G23 Gen 4 in the next few weeks. I have been trying to compare prices online but with the transfer fee to a FFL was thinking of buying from a local gun shop.

I went into one Sun and was quoted 529.99 plus tax. I also emailed another local shop and his price was 559.99. He said the 529.99 was a pretty good deal. What do you guys think? So far, that's the lowest I have come across but havent had the time to go by every single local gun shop in town. I have emailed a few others but got no response. I know the 529.99 is lower then bass pro, cabelas, and Academy. Good deal? Thanks for any insight.

Unless you can get a GSSF membership or the Blue Label program purchase, 529 might be your best price. I think new, local shop prices are in the mid 500s for 9/40/357 of G17 and smaller size.

If your not getting any discounts then I'd say $529 isn't bad.

$529 is the norm. I bought mine for $519. The next week they jacked it up to $529.

Watch the GT classifieds, maybe you can find a good deal on a slightly used G23.

In my area some shops are charging $525 for Gen 3 and $575 for Gen 4. I was at Cabela's today and looked at a Gen 4 G23 and they were charging $660 with night sights and $620 w/o night sights - so depending where you go you can get ripped off. Shop around and good luck.

Seems like a good price to me too. Around here they are usually $550 but I have seen them as high as $600.

Got mine for $499 + tax in Orlando, Florida. One of the best deals I've seen on the Gen 4's, so $529 + tax isn't too shabby.

Sign up for a two year membership. Cost is $60 and you will get your certificate right away. Price with GSSF will be $425.
