Approx a 1 1/2 years ago, I bought a new Glock 19. It just happened to have night sights. Just recently, I had the pistol in a completely dark room and noticed that I could not see the sights. I shined a flashlight on the sights for a while which did not help. Any body else have this problem with the factory night sights? I didn't buy this gun for its night sights, they just happened to be on the one and only 19 that the dealer had in stock. I do like the white outline rear, white dot front, as I most of my shooting is at a range under a roof.

are you sure they are night sights? shining a flashlight on them won't do anything. can you post a pic of the sights?

Do your sights look like this:

If so, you have the stock sights which are not night sights. The "white outline" you mention makes many of us think that you have either the factory non-adjustable or possibly adjustable sights, neither of which are night sights.

  5. The steel glock night sites have white rings around the dots. I got mine about three months ago, and they aren't really that bright either. If it is totally dark you can see them, but if there is a little bit of light, they aren't that bright.

Glock-branded nightsights are warranted by Glock for 15 years; Trijicons for 12 years. Both are provided as both OEM and for aftermarket installation by Glock. Simply call Glock to coordinate, send in your slide, and they'll be replaced under warranty.

    Best, Jon

Flieger67 is right. My Glock 19 sights are as shown in his photo. What thru me off was that the selling dealer listed it as having night sights , I think, because the serial number starts with "NS" and at the time I didn't know better.

  8. ....and the dealer most likely charged you for night sights. caveat emptor
