I bought several unissued Yugo's as a great price some time ago. I have one completely cleaned, and two still in cosmoline. I am wondering if I should sell these off now at a profit and buy a nice 1911, or hold on to them for an indefinite period of time for later. Do you think the value will increase?

    Input?

I am glad I paid $69 NIB, for mine many years ago.

Being a election year, you will easily make a profit off of them.

Yes, the value will increase, eventually. But if you get a good deal trading towards a 1911 you should go for it.

I was tempted to sell one of my Yugos but decided to hang on to it.

I already have an '54 Tula sitting around. I bought those three to turn around into something I really like. Just wanting on input to sell them now, sell them later, or buy a few cases of 7.62 and arm a squad.

I would be a buyer if you're gonna sell one...

  6. Hold 'em. Never know when the market will dry up, commanding lucrative prices.
The Yugos are supposed to be the most accurate of the SKSs, which is kind of like saying the most agile kid at fat camp, but nevertheless!

I'm pretty sure the 1911 is calling your name... listen closely...

Keep them for a bit longer cabelas had a sale last fall that sold them for $180. And it kind of dropped the price point. It should come back up eventually

I actually got them at Cabeles! Worst gun store buy ever!

I guess I should keep them then. They are nice rifles, aside from Yugoslavia having no chromium mines for the barrels.

Do you think that the up-market for these rifles will surpass what a nice 1911 would do though?

I think it would. I know Russians in my area can sell for $350 and Yugos use to sell for a bit less. I would post them on Armslist and wait for a buyer that pays what you want for them, can't hurt as Armslist is free
