Sir: I ordered a exteneded slide lock for my g 30 sf. I took the old slide lock out by pushing down on the spring and when the lock came out so did the spring. So I was not able to see the spring in the frame with out the lock bar. Now I cannot get the spring in the proper way to hold the slide lock under tension.
Thank you for any help you can give me.

The short leg of the spring goes into the receiver.
When you get the spring in the receiver you need a little pressure to make sure the leg seats into the frame. Once the spring is in the frame push down on it just in front of the slide lock hole. This way you can push the slide lock through the hole. Once it is through the frame you need to release the spring.
*remember the notch on the slide lock points to the rear!
