Hey folks. Couple of questions re: using a Verizon express card.

    1. If using the express card to connect to the Internet on a notebook provided by work how much info can be viewed by anyone other than me? Since it would be a corporate account does that mean they will have a record of every website viewed? (and no, this isn't a porn question--filthy minds!). I know Glocktalk and other sites are not understood or "acceptable" to some people and/or companies so even though the card is unlimited and they don't mind home use after work hours I was curious as to how much they could monitor home use.

    2. Does each brand of pc have its own express card? Got a card that fits in an IBM ThinkPad but not in a Dell. Call me a doorknob but I thought express cards were universal.

I hesitate to get into it with one of the IT guys at work as I will get a 3 hour answer to my questions.

    Thanks much.

Answer to #2: Express cards should be universal. You may have one computer with a PC Card and the other with an express card. They are about the same width and thickness, but are not interchangeable

If you are view sites using the company laptop then ALWAYS assume someone is watching (always, forever, without a doubt, keep that site away, they watch). Depending upon what they loaded onto the laptop they could be monitoring. However, work is work, home is home, never mix the two. Use your own PC. I NEVER login to secured sites from work because I don't want people knowing my information (if they are watching, like I always assume).

Never ask IT ;) They will take three times as long as someone else to give you the same exact answer...And, you'll have to get the question approved before they will answer it. :animlol:
