I am thinking of a Boyd aftermarket stock for my Savage .22 magnum. Is this a quality fit/finish? Are there other brands you might recommend? Thanks. Joe

I don't have direct experience with the Boyd Savage stocks, but the Boyd Ruger stock I got for the 10/22 fit like a glove.

Pretty sure that Boyd is one of the good stocks...

Just installed one on my CZ 452 Varmint last night. The action dropped right in. Looks just like a composite, but was less than $100.

    Highly recommended.

I have a Boyd's SS Evolution on a Ruger 10/22 I bought the rifle with the stock used. The stock is very smooth, well constructed, and light weight. Definitely something I'd never replace.

+1 on the boyts stocks. I have one on a 10/22 and it's very nice. Need the bull barrel though.

Boyds stocks are excellent. I have seen an odd report now and again where someone is unhappy with theirs, but those seem to be quite rare. They actually manufacture a lot of the stocks that the rifle manufacturers use. I know they supply the hardwood and laminated stocks that Savage installs on its rimfires.
