    OK guys,

What style of sling adapter do you prefer? I've only ever had the MagPul ASAP on a rifle before and it was ok but it moved around too much for my liking.

I am planning on running the VTAC two point sling and am leaning mostly towards the slotted style sling adapter. I just wanted some input from others before I decided.

Thanks in advance to all who reply.......:wavey:

I have a vtac mounted to the stock swivel upfront at the 9 o' clock and the back end slotted into the regular carbine stock. Secure as any fancy setup. I also have a few mounted on kz end plates with the single left side round hole for the single point bungee sling and mash hook.

I have one from GG&G. I like how it doesn't protrude at all, so the stock can collapse completely.

  6. I have the Noveske. No complaints.
  7. building my first rifle and the noveske qd plate was the first part to arrive.

$12 Tapco plate gets the job done. With a MagPul, TacStrap, or similar one/two point sling, you can change shoulders and disconnect quickly. If you like the "chainlink" of the MagPul plate, you can get a little carabiner from Home Depot for less than $3.

If you're going to a two point style I'd say just go with the rear slots on your stock or a QD if you have a stock that accepts them. I think 2-points seem to ride better with the end of your sling as close to the end of the stock as possible. That way when it hangs the rifle stock is near the shoulder and is a quick pivot from being in firing position. I save the plate adapters for single point type slings instead because I think those hang much better that way and keep the rifle from hanging too low. Thats just how I like it though so you may not agree.
