Received my EMP 9mm G10 yesterday, two days before expected - good start!

Fit and finish are outstanding, lockup is very tight. During field strip last night I found very confusing to use the take down tool, and end up finding a good and easy way to do without it. I then ran a clean patch through the barrel, one with oil, and another clean to remove the excess. Wiped off the excess oil that was on the slide and the frame. Applied TW-25b on the frame rails, barrel lugs, and disconnector lug. Oil on slide rails and mixed a drop with grease on barrel lug, re-assembled, loaded all three magazines to work the springs overnight.

This morning took it to the range with 150 rounds 115gr FMJ Federal ammo. Fired every single round without a single failure of anykind.

I am very very very pleased with the gun, highly recommend. It is very light with a fully loaded mag, accurate, fun to shoot.

Next week I will take it to the range with SD ammo for final test before carrying it.

I don't use the little tool to get the recoil setup out.

The EMP is on the top of my next to get list. These EMP threads are making it very hard to resist. Good thing this thread doesn't have pics. :nailbiting::nailbiting:

Did I mention how light it is? It feels lighter than my G26, accuracy and ergonomics hands down better (it is a 1911 after all).

I will post some pictures soon!

or 8 + 1 with a Logman modded flush fit mag.

Congrats OP on your EMP 9. I love mine too. I've got Davidson 4x4 grips with Wilson hex head stainless grip screws on mine.

Two days. I bought it on Wednesday from GB, Thursday was Thanksgiving Holiday (no mail), received it Friday. Paid $1075 NIB, the only regret I have is not buying one earlier!

well seeing that the Range Officer was just made/released, the production schedule might be a while until they get back to the EMP's.

There is a dealer here in the Seattle area that has 2 or 3 LNIB ones in the case. Send me a PM if you want the name and number. Maybe you could call them and work out a good deal.

I tried to talk a local dealer down yesterday from $1,100 to $1k. and they wouldn't budge. I've seen them for $999 at gun shows, so I'll wait. I wish I could find one for $950, I'd buy it today.

Eh...I've been itching for one for a while now. But seeing as I still need my CCW and a belt, I have time to wait for the right price. Plus I don't shoot as much in the winter time as I would like, and the holidays are upon us (ie. spending more money).

So I'll be patient...maybe. It's just that the VMII looks so lonely... :tongueout:
