Any recommendations for an OWB holster for an EMP9?
Anyone like the one that comes with it?
If your looking for kydex, go with Blade-tech or Comp-tac. Leather can vary in price depending on quality. I have always had pretty good success with Galco for an affordable leather holster. The holster SA ships with their guns is junk
Well... I guess there are not as many choices as I thought!
Thanks for the input. I'll check those out.
there are plenty of choices. any holster that fits a 3" 1911 will work with an EMP. most, if not all of us use IWB holsters with the EMP, with the most popular being the Milt Sparks VMII
Thanks to all...
I often use a Fist OWB holster with belt loop snaps for easy on/off. However, I recently purchased an OWB leather holster from El Paso Saddlery that is excellent and not super expensive. It is a thumb snap holster and is lined.
Also check Galco and Don Hume; they make a decent OWB holster that won't break the bank.
So the 3" 1911 VMII is the one to get for the EMP?
yep, order now from Top Gun Supply, or wait 8 months
Order placed... thanks!
And if for any chance you don't like it, you'll be able to get your money back out of it.
Your gonna love it. My EMP9 also rides in a VMII
nice timing with the TGS order! Congrats. I have to wait 5-6 more months for my 2nd one. Damn southpaw...
VMII came in today!
Great service Top Gun Supply.
I ordered it on the 27th and it arrived on the 31st... outstanding.
Tom's shop is about 30 min from me. I have dealt with him in person a few times and he is a GREAT guy. TGS generally has just about anything you need and he is pretty solid on his pricing.
Fist Holsters can make you a holster from kydex,
anyway you want it.
If you're still looking for a OWB (you can never have too many holsters), look into the MS Axiom and the Adams Leather Pancake one. I haven't personally tried these, but they seem to get good reviews.
