Ed Brown Centennial....$7,000!

Discussion in '1911 Forums' started by beforeobamabans, Dec 30, 2010.

  1. I just got my Ed Brown 2011 brochure. I guess everyone will be building a centennial for 2011, but a 120% premium over a standard Classic Custom? Will people really buy these things?

Get the other one. Only $2,100ish and a much nicer looking gun.

  3. I don't think it's that expensive. Look at all the work that went into engraving that pistol down to the mags. That is all done by hand. Think about all the time it takes just to make one. While I could never afford one I can see were the price comes from.

That price won't come down. If anything...with the limited number being sold...they will only appreciate in value.

They have sold close to twenty and each hand engraved I was told their won't be many more due to having each one hand done and time allotted by the engraver
I ordered the ee centennial and it's a great deal even with a few changes looking forward to it

I snuck in a $75K bid at the last minute. Sorry. ;)

You'd think he'd offer free shipping for paying off his mortgage. :faint:

  12. Did you order through a dealer or direct from Brown?

    Did you pay list?

    What leadtime were you quoted?

  13. The brochure lists the Executive Elite Centennial Edition at $2,495 and the Classic Custom CE at $6,995.

    What is "Tru-Ivory"? I assume a synthetic?
Edit: Nevermind, I found their website.

The engraved one is a 180 day wait and the other is a 90 day wait (like any other Brown)
Save some money and order from George at migunslingers.com. he also has a year layaway.
