I have a co-worker whose daughter entered the wrong password not once, but twice and has now locked everyone out of the family computer. I have seen more than a few bootable images out there for removing XP admin password but can't seem to find any freebies (or at least cheap) for doing the same on Vista Home. Any solutions that don't require loss of data or reformatting?

That's why childrens should not be allowed near the (family) computer.

Ah. I understand. If an incorrect password fails to allow you in, try it again and it might work. :wavey:

Had a boss who used the same password for every account because he "suffered from information overload".

You've never re-entered a password on the off chance that there was a typo?
