    Hi All:

    I am looking for a tactical light that I can basically "click" onto my Glock 23 Gen4. I don't like having a tac light on my glock all the time. I have favorite iwb holsters etc that wont fit it and i like my 23 better without. However, i would like to have a light and click it onto the gun when its sitting next to my bed or when i open carry while walking the dog or something.

    any suggestions?

    Surefire X300 will click right on and with the pull of two tabs will come right off. Top notch light but on the expensive side. Streamlight TLR-1S is another good choice although it won't "click" right on, you have to loosen a screw and place it on from the side. Not quite as fast as the surefire but you get the added benefit of having a smaller chance of placing a body party in front of the muzzle while putting the light on (although just being mindful with the surefire eliminates this). The Streamlight can be had for as low as $98 with the right sale/shipping/no taxes. The surefire x300 usually goes for around $200 +/- $10.

    I recently purchased the X300 (for a second time after someone swiped mine from my lunch bag at work...:steamed:) and I couldn't be happier. Thought about the new X300 Ultra but found the run time a disadvantage, although 500 lumens is impressive(I have a Fury single output, it's an amazing light), I think the 170 lumens, which appears about as bright as a 200 lumen G2X due to its tight beam, is not too bright as to bounce a ton of light off walls and back at the user. Over all I am happy with my purchase, as I was before. Can't wait for my Bravo Concealment light bearing holster to come in. Hope this long winded opinion helps you.

    Among the quick release weaponlight models:

    1: Surefire X300 Ultra;
    2: Insight WX 150;
    3: Regular Surefire X300.
