'76 was a great year.............
It was a great year for me....but a tough year as well.
A pivotal year in my life, to be certain.
it wasn't all good but time has a way of glazing over the past and softening the rough memories..... at least for me.........
Simple Man was next on my play list
I agree...time has a way of softening the rough memories.
The worst for me was in February, I was in a bad car accident. Unfortunately, I still suffer from the injuries in the accident. With time, more problems surface...and it took a while for doctors to make the connection to the accident.
But, I'm tough! I don't let it get me down! It's just frustrating at times....because I have NO control over what happened in a split second!
But, I also have some AWESOME memories from 1976!!!!
Twas a very good year!!!
I'm sorry you still suffer from injuries it's scary how one's life can be changed forever in a split second......
Wouldn't be complete without Free Bird (of course you already knew I had it playing before or about the same time you posted ). It's one of my favorites it brings back many memories both good and bad (the kind time doesn't fix). But it's still one of my favorites.
Turn the Page
Other than the accident....which after the initial time in the hospital, and recovery, I did okay, except for bad headaches. Those got worse as time passed, and more frequent. Eventually other problems surfaced as well, and finally doctor's realized I had injured my cervical spine in the accident.
Early on, the accident scared me more than anything else at first. I had led a charmed life till then, where everything in my life was amazing. Nothing ever went wrong...pretty much!
76 brought much happiness, and a little sadness into my life. Everything worked out okay in the end.
I made a commitment to my husband (boyfriend at the time) at the beginning of 1976, and that has turned out pretty good. We'll be married 32 years in April. But we dated for 5 years before we actually got married in 1979. He left for Germany after he knew I was okay from the accident. That was very hard on him! (Army) He would spend 3 years there!
Love Bob Seger!
Like A Rock
Glad everything worked out. Life overall has been good to me, I sometimes chose the hard path but I've learned from it. Sometimes life can deal you some bad cards, you just have to make the best hand you can.

I really just discovered Robbie Williams recently. He's no Frank Sinatra, but who the heck is? He's got a great voice none the less.
His cover of one of the best song sof all time:
