Anyone have an early 2008 like this one I picked up?

I am curious to see if anyone else doesn't have a Stainless Barrel bushing. Gun runs great, I had one and it was identical minus that and the barrel was marked differently.

Grips came in, figured I toss a couple photos up.
You guys chime in, something younger than number 30

    I LOVE THESE GRIPS

ok, now, the valor is number 23, from 08.
Not a spot on it until My stupid ass thought something was stuck on the side, it was but when I got it to move it left a small scratch. not deep at all, but it's duty coat so it's not going anywhere.

Either way I intend on carrying this one and unless something really bad happens I won't sell it a 2nd time!

My 08 Valor had the barrel bushing in black Cerakote like the rest of the gun - no stainless.

    I don't think so... but I can't find a picture to tell.

I think bac1023 has a 2008 vintage Valor as well.

    Yep.

    Mine is 24th Valor built.

BTW, those Punisher grips would have been off the gun before I even got it home.

That pimped Valor would go well with one of these:

No kidding. I'd trash the mags too.

As do I, though I had mine bobtailed, competition trigger and sight work done by Dan Wesson before it left the factory.

This is most likely the precursor for the Valor Bobtail model now currently in production. :)

    Mark,

I think your Valor order paved the way for DW's offerings today. :)

You alone are credited for the creation of the VBOB. ;)

    Mark,

I just realized that your frame is older than mine. You've got #13. I got mine first, as you were waiting for yours back then.

    I am sorry,

You think having Ed Strange build an original one off of the very first Wicked Grip made, done in Celleron Ebony with Titanium inlay on an all black gun is pimp crap with nasty wheels?

Really, you think those grips suck? I may not be the best photographer, it's not cheap crap from ebay.

It came with the exact same Micarta's in the photo shared. Identical.

The grips I waited 2 years for. I don't know what to say

I do like them, and Ed is talented, and a all around great guy

I don't think anyone is questioning the quality of the grips or the talent it took to make them. In our opinion, they just don't look at home on an otherwise classy 1911 like the Valor.

To each his own, and obviously, you feel otherwise. If you think they look good, keep them on there. Its that simple. However, not everyone has your tastes and we aren't shy about opinions around here.

    Granted.
I'll stop trying to add here.
No where else out of the 7 forums i read daily would speak that way to someone showing a gun, nor has anyone ever, including me, been done that way by other gun lovers.

I really don't get why it was necessary to make any negative or rude comments on a shared couple photos someone took time to post to add and try to settle in posting instead of just reading.

I can say I made the attempt

I truly am sorry, it's kind of like your daughter coming home with a tramp stamp. It's saddening and no words can politely describe the emotion.
