when do you think the first drone strike will happen in the u.s.a.? will the target be in a rural or suburban setting? american citizen or a foreign national? how much (if any) collateral damage to citizens and their personal property? discuss.

Won't happen. No need. Personnel could do a hit much cheaper with a gun or sabotage.

Location is everything. Not so easy for LE or military to just waltz into a foreign country and take out bad guys.

Could use a car or truck bomb and blame it on a rival faction.

The same thing can be said about a drone strike.
A vehicle typical of the "hood" and operatives looking like they are from the "hood" could easily set up the hit. A vehicle could even be remotely controlled and driven into the mosque.
Though I wouldn't want to use remote controlled vehicles because evidence of a remote device would be present in the debris. A missile strike would leave evidence too.
Face it, drones are not a weapon of choice for in country hits. There are much simpler ways of doing it without leaving obvious evidence of a gov. hit. :smoking:

If you are in the US, thanks to drones which are controlled from the US you are now standing in a legal war zone:

Exactly. The Bin laden raid almost went sideways when that chopper almost crashed. That could have been a real mess with a whole lot of injured or wounded Seals caught in a mess. Just like the Carter admin's raid in Iran. Very high risk putting boots on the ground inside another country.

Congress has just granted him all the power he needs to become America's first dictator..
