I came in to work today and my boss (the owner) and his future son in law (both great guys and normally pretty smart) were standing around trying to decide the best way to attach an ACE skeleton folding stock to his Draco AK pistol. I work for a small family-owned and operated auto repair facility (which for legal purposes shall remain nameless...) so drilling and tapping the back of the receiver would likely take about 10 minutes. I about **** my pants and said "umm guys I'm about 99% sure that makes it a Short Barreled Rifle, and thus illegal without a BATFE stamp/paperwork or something..." Am I crazy or were they about to get in some deep doo-doo? Also is it legal to have a forward pistol grip on it? I was pretty sure that's OK, but not 100%... Wanna kill these ads? We can help!
