Doing your own ammo testing

    If I had a range on my property and a chrono and DIY gel and a ruler I would be doing all kinds of ammo testing and would document it thoroughly on the Interweb. Maybe even a high speed camera so you could see what the bullet does and the permanent cavity it made.

    I think it would be a lot of fun.

    That kind of stuff is always fun. Many of us do backyard testing of our own. It's nice to read this or tht round does this or that in bal.gel, but nothing like seeing it for yourself.:supergrin:
     


  3. I'd love to have a fast frame camera, just 'cuz I'd like to watch what you wrote. :thumbsup:

    Duncan MacPherson shot 400 rounds and went through a ton of ballistic gel while he was doing his research, must have been tedious, but a lot of fun. :supergrin:
