Sounds just a bit excessive, especially if the dog was tethered as the neighbor said.

The story is a little different than the headlines.

A no pet policy, or better range training, would have prevented this. :shame:

With a score of 2 out of 9, I'm betting the reload wasn't very tactical. :whistling:

I wonder what the shooter's story-thread looks like on a gun board...

Open carry would have prevented this. The dog would have seen what it was up against.

If hadn't shot the dog, the dog would have gone to jail for 10 days. I'll bet the old man is looking at a longer sentence than that.

My original thought, before I read the whole article, was it was a good shoot. Then it jumped out on me; the guy walked back to his vehicle and got the gun and then went back and shot the dog. BAD SHOOT.

I would have grabbed the dog's sacks, looked him in the eyes and screamed in his face "IT'S ON CUZ!"

If the landlord was wearing his hat it is a good shoot. Even so, I want to see the video just to be sure.
